Need advice? Ask . . .we promise you will get an answer. I would like to offer this advice as a ‘primer’.
First, if you need medical care, I recommend VinMec International Hospital. The physicians are, in many cases, from and educated outside of Vietnam (French, German, Cuban, Russian, etc) so it may be easy to find one that speaks your native tongue if English isn’t your primary language. Those educated in Vietnam have gone through additional training in their specialties. It is easy to get an appointment and you can request a physician in any discipline (cardiology, gastroenterology, internal medicine, etc.)
Second, prices are very reasonable. Lab studies, ultrasonography, mammography, x-rays, etc., are cheap compared with Western prices. For example, a CBC (complete blood count) will cost around $4.00. Be prepared to pay cash before any tests are performed.
Finally, don’t be afraid to ask the physicians questions regarding your care. They are very accommodating.
