flamencoFlamingo Travel Motorbike Rental

Upon our arrival in Hanoi we found this place on the advice of a friend who has since gone back to the U.S. Now, we have had our motorbike for two years. Month-to-month rental has been the best option for us and the staff at Flamingo have made it easy. The staff are friendly, service is great, and we don’t have to worry about all of the issues that would be involved with owning a motorbike. They simply take care of everything. Contact them for your rental needs and let us know what you think.

This is a great place to try every conceivable Vietnamese (as well as other) dish one can imagine. We’ve tried everything from alligator to albatross. A bit pricey for some, but well worth the experience. Let us know what you think.

Hoan Kiem Lake

“Lake of the Returned Sword” or “Lake of the Restored Sword”. A very interesting historical area in which to learn about the tale of  the Golden Turtle God. Fascinating history here.

An amazing experience, especially if you love mushrooms as much as Klavdiia does. When in Vladivostok, she would spend hours traipsing through the forest, looking under every leaf or log, just to find a single prize. This place has a wonderful variety . The food is good, and the prices are reasonable. Let us know what you think.

old quarter
It is almost redundant to suggest the old quarter. It is probably the first site most tourists as well as ex-pats explore. This is truly an experience unlike any other, but only if you dip down every alley and peer into every nook and cranny along the way. Otherwise you will miss the true flavor of this area.

A magnificent structure. Unfortunately, it has not been well maintained and is, as a result, in a state of serious disrepair. Inside you will find an assortment of beautiful statues, pictures and columns. This is truly a ‘must visit’ site. Let us know what your impression is.
Need something Western (or European)? If you bake, need a rolling pin, measuring cups, etc., or just need some Crisco, this is the place to go.
